Psalm 2:6-7
We live in a world obsessed with power.
Every election feels like the most important election. Every news cycle feels like the end of the world. Every political party, government, and movement promises some version of salvation.
And if we're not careful, it's easy to start believing that the future of the world rests in the hands of men.
But Psalm 2 paints a very different picture.
The nations rage. Leaders plot. Kingdoms rise and fall. Yet in the middle of all the noise, God makes a declaration:
"I have installed My King."
Not "I might."
Not "We'll see what happens."
Not "Let's wait and find out."
The King has already been chosen.
The throne is already occupied.
And His name is Jesus.
Long before any president was elected, any nation was formed, or any government came to power, Jesus was King. And long after every earthly kingdom has faded away, He will still be King.
This hat is a reminder that while governments matter, they do not hold ultimate authority. While leaders matter, they do not sit on the highest throne.
Because no matter what the headlines say, no matter who wins, and no matter what the world does...
Jesus is still King.
Whether the White House recognizes it or not.
Whether the media recognizes it or not.
Whether the nations recognize it or not.
The throne already belongs to Him.
Wear it when the world feels chaotic. Wear it when fear starts creeping in. Wear it when you're tempted to place your hope in earthly kings.
Because the good news is that the highest throne in existence is not empty.
King Jesus is already sitting on it.
